Festival Schedule

January 19–28, 2024

DesignTO Festival brings people together to design a better future, one that is more sustainable, just, and joyful. The Festival happens online and in-person at venues across the City of Toronto. Most events and exhibitions are free, but some require a RSVP or purchased tickets. All window installations are viewable from the outdoors.

'BoomBoom' is an interactive, heart-shaped installation by Gensler crafted from recycled mesh and programmed lighting. It serves as a focal point for community engagement and provides a warm winter escape for the Yonge + St. Clair neighbourhood.

'Tideline' refers to sinuous lines of floating debris found where two ocean currents converge. Artists Meghan Macdonald and Sarah Sears utilize found, salvaged and repurposed materials from nature and the built environment. Within stitched threads and poured concrete, these materials are suspended and celebrated.
