This exhibition is a personal expedition through the time and collective histories of two young women. Through art, design, and activation of space, Yaa & Omo look to give their pasts and in turn the past of others some voice.
Unpacking experiences through their independent spiritual explorations, this intimate exhibition is unique as it weaves together stories of relationship, spiritual journeys, culture, and home in an intentional way while always looking forward with gratitude.
The creative works are made from culturally significant materials, constructed to tell stories of unearthing what it means to find a home frequency wherever you are. There are four installations in total between the two creatives which are in dialog with each other. The gatherings of the journey are evident throughout the space through interpretive artifacts, digital media and collaborative projects, which engages the community in the question of home, place and self.
Note that the exhibition is free. The reception & talk is ticketed.
