Bound Counter Stools

Composed of subtle details and sculptural excavations, ‘Bound’ counter stools are sure to delight. Each connection and joint has been carefully considered, peeling and extruding from one point to the next. The stools are a modern junction of the forms and ideals of danish modernists, and the exploitation of the newest technologies. Without compromising function, Emily Falconer focuses on the details necessary to evoke a sense of wonderment. The contrast between the smooth, sweeping curves and the crisp edges and textures, promote the desire to touch and explore this piece. The desire is to create lasting relationships between a piece and its beholder.

Emily Falconer is a recent graduate from Sheridan Furniture Design program who designs and builds simple, functional, furniture and objects with a focus on composition and craftsmanship. Emily builds furniture that is both sculptural and practical, pieces that exist somewhere in the large and varied grey area between fine art and contemporary design.
