‘Ciinema’ is a video mixtape series meant to spark, inspire and provoke.

A one-hour screening / Q&A, this edition of ‘Ciinema’ will be curated by Worship, a Toronto-based independent design and motion studio founded by Nicolas Girard and Rafael Ruiz.

As co-creative directors and collaborators, they work with directors, agencies and brands. For each project, they assemble teams of top international creatives curated specifically to the project approach. They conceptualize and execute branded motion design including design films, titles, identities, and experiential digital pieces. They work with local and international clients, most notably for Nike, Wired Magazine, and Cardi B. Most recently, they worked on the main end titles for Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Blade Runner 2049’.

Presented in partnership with Shopify, ‘Ciinema’ has featured a wide variety of Toronto’s most interesting artists and entrepreneurs, including designer and Daniel Caesar’s co-creative director Sean Brown, multidisciplinary artist Rajni Perera, video directors Kid.Studio, Yes Yes Y’all DJ Nino Brown, photographer Luis Mora and Lorde Inc. founder, Nafisa Kaptownwala, among others.

‘Ciinema’ was founded by urban planner Craig Cal (locale) and co-founded by Duane Bobbsemple of Banded Purple.
