Born in Tokyo, and raised in Tehran and Toronto, Safoura holds a Master of Architecture (University of Toronto) and a Bachelor of Interior Design (Ryerson University). In addition to running independent art and design experiments, she works at an award-winning architecture firm and is on the Executive Committee of BEAT (Building Equality in Architecture Toronto).
