Catherine is an award-winning editor, writer and communication strategist, with expertise in architecture, design and the visual arts. Based in Toronto, she is the former Editor of Azure, one of North America’s leading publications of international architecture and design.
While at Azure, she led a team of dedicated editors and designers through eight issues a year, including the annual AZ Awards issue, and played a key role in successfully rebranding Azure to reflect the changing landscape of publishing, in print and online.
She has written extensively and interviewed some of the world’s most influential creative minds, including Sir David Adjaye, Jay Osgerby of Barber&Osgerby, Oki Sato of Nendo, and designer Faye Toogoode of London.
Prior to Azure, Catherine was Co-founder and Editor of Lola art magazine, and an arts and culture writer based in Tokyo, Japan. Born in Toronto, and raised on a farm in southern Ontario, Catherine holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queen’s University.
