DesignTO Festival is Canada’s largest annual design festival celebrating design as a multidisciplinary form of thinking and making, with over 100 exhibitions and events forming Toronto’s design week each January.

Since 2011, the DesignTO Festival has welcomed over 1 million visitors, showcased the work of over 6,500 artists and designers, and reached over 2 billion people through print and digital media.

The 2024 DesignTO Festival activated the City of Toronto, showcasing art and design with 100+ in-person events, exhibitions and installations reaching as far as Richmond Hill and Markham.

 

The 2023 DesignTO Festival returned with 100+ in-person events, exhibitions and installations, showcasing art and design across the City of Toronto.

The 2022 DesignTO Festival continued with “distanced and digital” programming, showcasing 91 events, exhibitions and installations in-person and 24 online.

 

2021 DesignTO Festival Look and Feel

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 DesignTO Festival was a “distanced and digital” event with 42 window installations, viewable from outdoors, and 40 digital exhibitions and online events, January 22–31, 2021.

2020 marked the DesignTO Festival’s 10th anniversary, presenting 100+ exhibitions, talks, tours, and installations across Toronto, January 17–26, 2020.
