An immersive installation by VIÚVA LAMEGO in collaboration with REPUBLIC OF II BY IV

‘A Reflection in Time’ considers reflection as something both seen and felt — a quiet exchange between material, light, and the person moving through the space.

As the sculptural surfaces of Colinas and Marola catch shifting light, their forms begin to unfold in unexpected ways. Shadows slip across ridges and contours; patterns sharpen, soften, and reform. What appears fixed, reveals itself to be in constant motion, offering a different impression with every step. In this sense, reflection becomes less about mirroring and more about transformation — the way time, movement, and attention shape what we perceive.

Created by VIÚVA LAMEGO in collaboration with REPUBLIC OF II BY IV, the installation bridges past, present, and what lies ahead — honouring more than 175 years of craftsmanship while expressing a contemporary understanding of material, light, and form. It becomes both a meditation on perception and a quiet study in transformation, revealing how reflection — in all its meanings — can turn the subtle into the profound.
