DesignTO projectevent: tour in-person

Get an exclusive peek into Campari Canada’s unique Palm Springs-meets-Italian Futurist office space in Liberty Village, designed by Toronto firm I-V. Campari Canada’s Managing Director Massimo Mottura and Azure Magazine’s Executive Editor Elizabeth Pagliacolo will join DesignTO in this tour of the company’s bold Canadian headquarters.

Campari Canada Headquarters took over its Liberty Village office in November 2015, after an eight-month renovation. What used to be an all-black movie studio is now a sparkling white showpiece, with four giant skylights that flood the space with natural light. The office has 40-foot-ceilings and a minimalist Palm Springs aesthetic combined with subtle Italian details. The result is a workspace that feels more like an art gallery than corporate HQ.

Campari Canada is the Canadian subsidiary of Campari Group, a major player in the global spirits industry, with a portfolio of over 50 premium and super premium brands. The Group was founded in 1860 and today is the sixth-largest company worldwide in the premium spirits industry. Campari Canada is a major figure in the Canadian spirits market with brands like Forty Creek Whisky, Appleton Estate Rum, Grand Marnier, Campari, Aperol, Wild Turkey and Skyy vodka, among others.

Elizabeth Pagliacolo is the Executive Editor of Azure, the magazine where she started out 15 years ago as an intern and worked her way up to senior editor. In 2017, she was the Director of Programming of EDIT: Expo for Design, Innovation and Technology, a 10-day festival launched by the Design Exchange. Prior to that, she freelanced as a design and architecture journalist for many publications in Canada and abroad. She has traveled the world covering design and interviewing some of the world’s most brilliant innovators.
