This new series of ceramic ribbon sculptures by Filipa Pimentel explores fluidity, movement, and the delicate balance between form and function. Each piece, whether a wall sculpture or a freestanding vessel, is crafted from porcelain and shaped into elegant, flowing ribbons that evoke a sense of weightlessness. The interplay of light and shadow across the folds highlights the versatility and tactile beauty of clay. These sculptures reflect Filipa’s ongoing exploration of pushing ceramics beyond traditional boundaries, combining playfulness with the timeless craftsmanship that defines her work. The series offers a fresh, contemporary interpretation of organic form.
