Ahmed leads the Microsoft Azure Marketing and Operations team at Microsoft Canada, with 28 years of international experience across three continents covering technical and business leadership roles. Ahmed is a regular speaker in WW conferences and events with a passion for technology and innovation focused on Software, Cloud computing, and AI, and the digital transformation opportunities they enable.
Sarah Doyle is the Director of Policy + Research at Brookfield Institute for Innovation + Entrepreneurship, where she leads the development of the Institute’s research agenda and oversees the work of its policy team. Sarah has previous experience working to expand Canada’s impact investment marketplace, as Senior Manager at the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing, and in informing public policy from within government, including in the Privy Council Office where she developed advice for the Prime Minister on a range of social policy issues.
Krista is the managing director of MaRS Enterprise. She has been a passionate innovator and builder of technology-based businesses for over 25 years, and has personally advised and been actively involved in over 200 startups.
For the past four years, Krista has been the driving force behind the creation of MaRS’ globally-leading Enterprise sector. She works with entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, investors, and technologists who are applying innovation and cutting-edge technologies to create solutions that are advancing the competitiveness of global workers and workplaces.
Satsuko VanAntwerp is a Solutions Designer at Element AI. She previously co-founded a service design firm, led design research at a software innovation firm, and hosted a monthly meetup on how the practice of design is changing in an AI world.
Leon has been heading up the UX team at Genesys for the past 8 years – a global leader of cloud and AI software and services within the customer experience space. Prior to Genesys, Leon worked at BlackBerry as part of the UX team for 7 years. He is also a multi-patent holder with over 45 patents being granted in the area of design and UX. Leon is also the co-founder of the Toronto Tech Summit a micro conference focused on AI, CX, and innovations in transportation.
Simon is an Innovation Designer at The Moment where he enables teams to adapt, respond, and lead innovation efforts. He has been practicing innovation design across industries and continents for over a decade. In addition, Simon has been leading conversations on the Future of Work in Canada with the belief that the future is more human. Currently, he teaches at The Institute Without Boundaries and OCAD University, and is a Programs Lead for the DesignTO Festival.
