‘Flourish’ is an immersive sculptural installation that celebrates the growth and transformation of our community, where heritage and innovation entwine. Suspended ornaments, crafted from intricate blends of local architecture and flora, appear to flourish in response to the changing light. These ornaments honor Toronto’s rich cultural heritage, while their fusion with local flowers and cutting-edge technology embodies the spirit of innovation and progress.
At the heart of the sculpture is a dynamic light fixture, programmed to respond to the local light conditions and mirror the natural rhythms of our surroundings. Embracing both heritage and innovation, the installation fuses the beauty of technology and tradition to create a moment in the present, informed by the past. The use of sustainable 3D printing and responsive lighting technology highlights progress and environmental stewardship.
