Stoneface Co. and designer Jade McDonell present a sculptural furniture piece and the second work in the Flow State Series, the ‘Ostrea’ coffee table. The table’s form is modeled after the Ostrea Edulis, a European oyster with a flat, fan shape. The principles of meditation worked as a starting point for this series. Design elements, such as repetition, fluid lines and organic forms, work to create a harmonious composition; intended to invite mindfulness and calm. The ‘Ostrea’ coffee table is made of sustainably sourced African Mahogany hardwood and has a natural hard-wax oil finish. This piece will be accompanied by multiple furniture works in the permanent Stoneface Co. collection.
