bulthaup X Carl Hansen & Søn: ‘The Sound of Design’
In collaboration with Carl Hansen & Søn, bulthaup Toronto will be exhibiting a special installation exploring new designs by Danish masters Hans J. Wegner and Vilhelm Lauritzen, and the visionary contemporary designer Rikke Frost.
The new VLA26 Vega Chair was by designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen, an internationally renowned architect and pioneer of Danish functionalism. The chair, which has previously only been found in Vega’s historic concert halls, has now been put into production by Carl Hansen & Søn in partnership with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects, who celebrated their 100 year anniversary in 2022.
Alongside the VLA26 Vega Chair, the exhibition showcases the iconic CH24 Wishbone Chair in limited-edition colors created by Ilse Crawford, in addition to the RF1903 Sideways Sofa and new Footstool by Rikke Frost.
