The blanket, an object with complex history dating back centuries, holds cultural significance across the globe and has continued to function as a symbol of protection, warmth and comfort across generations. Drawing inspiration from this commonplace but important cloth, this installation considers how a blanket can create a sense of security, add coziness to a space, evoke memory and more.

Through the techniques of sewing, quilting and embroidery, ‘T(h)reads’ comes together as a conceptual quilt and soft sculpture that consists of previously owned textiles.
