DesignTO is exemplary in bringing together the many synapses that are Toronto’s Design + Visual Culture community under the umbrella of creative connectivity.
Lukus Toane is an Artist Curator living in Toronto. With a background in creative project managing, exhibition installation, and cultural events development. Lukus has worked in collaboration with many of Toronto’s annual art and culture events such as IDS, IIDEX, DesignTO, AZ Awards, Nuit Blanche as well as internationally.
From 2014-2018, Lukus worked as Director of Exhibitions at the historic Gladstone Hotel, where he developed year-round curatorial / exhibitions programming. There he co-founded the Gladstone’s annual group painting show, ‘Why The @#&! Do You Paint?’.
