window installation in-person

The installation, ‘imbibe like roots’, features the leaves, blossoms, and seeds of local plant-life embedded in a series of woven textiles.

The title is credited to St Francis of Assisis, “Our hands imbibe like roots, so I place them on what is beautiful in this world.”

The quote draws attention to the essential interdependence between humans and the more-than-human world, and draws attention to some of the innumerable species growing in the urban landscape.
