DesignTO alumnus Tura Cousins Wilsons speaking on a panel on sustainable and affordable housing at the 2024 Human/Nature conference.
Azure’s Human/Nature 2025 Conference is coming up on October 29-30 at the Evergreen Brick Works. Each year Human/Nature brings together architects, landscape architects, designers, students, educators, business leaders, city planners, and more to explore climate-conscious design. The conference features panels, workshops and keynotes with the goal of accelerating climate action through design.

This year’s conference showcases a range of programming, offering attendees new insights into how to integrate climate-conscious design thinking into their own practices. From a panel discussing how interiors can contribute to climate adaptation to a workshop exploring how Indigenous knowledge, biomimicry, and regenerative urban design can inform more respectful and resilient responses to the climate crisis, Human/Nature invites participants to examine new ways architecture and design can be harnessed to respond to urgent challenges through sustainability, social impact, and creativity.

Human/Nature 2025 will also feature a number of DesignTO alumni including:

They will be joined by past DesignTO exhibitors and speakers including Heather Dubbeldam, Johanna Hurme, Ralph Giannone, Michelle Xuereb, Brent Raymond, and more — making Human/Nature a true convergence of DesignTO’s extended creative community.

Don’t miss your chance to contribute to the conversation shaping the future of design and combatting climate change.
