Huy Lam is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores non-verbal communication, materiality, and tactility. A self-taught sculptor and woodworker, Lam creates meticulously collaged works on paper and finely balanced sculptures in wood and metal, drawing on his background as a professional photographer to craft precise compositions that play with light, form, and space. His work has been exhibited in Canada, Japan, and the US, with notable collections including Scotiabank Art Collection and Telus. In 2024, Lam presented his first major institutional solo exhibition, ‘Yield’, at the Grimsby Public Art Gallery.

Mel Trojkovic is the Gallery Director at United Contemporary, a role which allows her to champion the practices of emerging and established artists, and create a platform that supports diverse and marginalised voices. With a Masters of Art Curatorship and from the University of Melbourne, Mel has over fifteen years working in the contemporary art industry both nationally, and internationally. She is currently the co-chair for the SNAP Photography Auction in support of the Aids Committee of Toronto, and has juried various photographic and public art programs.
