‘Monument’ is a collage-based installation attempting to catalogue and create a world in flux. Meditating on notions of authenticity and reality, the fantastical landscape re-contextualizes images taken from the ‘throw-away’ materials from past decades.

Shelby Guergis is a multidisciplinary designer, art director and graduate from the MA Visual Communication program at the Royal College of Art (Distinction, 2019). Her ongoing body of work investigates notions of conflict and connection in the present day socio-political landscape.

She has worked throughout Canada, Europe and Asia with Wallpaper* Magazine, Roots, Peekd, the Royal College of Art and The Toronto International Film Festival. Her work has been featured in Typography Referenced, on Creative Boom, in various publications from institutions such as University of the Arts London, and she has been invited to deliver talks in both Canada and the United Kingdom.
