The pandemic has forced us all to question and reimagine the way our society functions. Against the backdrop of a global health crisis and a changing socio-political landscape, seven students share experiences and reflections of the last two years to ask themselves and each other: are we okay?

The project was conceived by a collective of fourth-year students from the Art & Art History Program, a joint program between Sheridan College and U of T Mississauga. While brainstorming ideas, the collective unanimously agreed that being cautious was not an option; they had to confront what has been happening in the world as a way into their work.

Cathartic and personal, these projects reflect their shared and unique perspectives.

*728 is the number of days from the first confirmed case of Covid-19 in Canada to the opening of the 2022 DesignTO Festival.
