‘A Dream of Home’ is a window installation that brings to life a Caribbean escape from reality brought on by home sickness. It challenges our association with Caribbean imagery while using elements that speak to a collective Caribbean experience. The installation conceptualizes a surreal experience of being transported to the Caribbean within the context of the city. It explores the presence of Caribbean symbolism in the urban landscape of Toronto using conscious elements relating to tropical plants and physical design elements that exist in Caribbean spaces.

It not only provides a visual escape to paradise but it also helps to create a sense of home for the Caribbean Diaspora in Toronto. This installation is an intersection of the physical and digital environment by integrating a digital NFT into a physical installation.
