‘Connections’ by Chloe Begg is an exhibition presenting modular ceramic sculptures that explore various modes of connection. Each piece consists of multiple elements that fit together in unique ways, forming cohesive structures that encourage viewers to question what they see and to discover where balance and support lie within each form.

Inspired by architectural styles, Chloe’s sculptures incorporate scaled-down and whimsical structures that evoke familiar shapes. The improvisational technique used in the creation of the sculptures brings a sense of spontaneity to each piece, with an emphasis on experimentation of angles, negative space, points of connection, and overall balance.

The exhibition is rooted in reflections on authenticity and belonging, inspired by the desire to foster spaces where people can be their true selves without the need to conform. Through modular elements and interactive compositions, ‘Connections’ invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of connection, encouraging a sense of curiosity, playfulness, and personal interpretation.
