‘Fictional Landscapes’ is a series of colourful digital collages that feel unstable and embodies the notion that our planet is in a constant state of change. Using collage and layering, aerial photographs of the Earth taken from NASA archives, are juxtaposed, cut, folded, and broken apart to create new visual worlds suggesting topographic transformations as our planet undergoes climate change. The artwork explores the boundaries between hand and machine where the landscapes are meant to feel like they’re caught in between two worlds.

This project is a part of the King East Design District (KEDD), a hub for design, art and culture in the heart of Old Town Toronto.
