‘It’s My Future Toronto’ [IMFTO] at DesignTO: an interactive activity of city redesign with Microsoft’s Minecraft and two BIPOC youth workshops with OCAD University and the Globe and Mail.

IMFTO Re-Design Toronto with Microsoft’s Minecraft: IMFTO world will open on January 15, 2021 at 12:00pm and close on February 15, 2021 at 12:00pm.

Participants will be able to re-design Toronto by using the TTC Lines to put into the City the buildings, parks, schools, or whatever they imagine that they want the city to be more inclusive and equal for BIPOC communities.

In partnership with Microsoft Minecraft, It’s My Future Toronto [IMFTO] asked Shannen Guntoro of OCAD U to built a world for youth ages 8-18 to redesign along the Toronto Transit Commission subway and street car lines.

IMFTO Report Workshop with the Globe and Mail: Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 11:00am to 12:30pm

This online synchronous workshop with Global and Mail journalists is open to 8-12 years old BIPOC Youth to CONNECT their future visions for the City of Toronto and the GTA to journalism and make editorials to be published in the Globe and Mail. There will be a teaser for the March Break workshop on how to CONNECT their future visions to an advertising campaign.

‘It’s My Future Toronto’ [IMFTO] is a special program bringing together education, industry, and government to provide the opportunity for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) youth aged 8-12 years to design Toronto’s recovery from COVID-19 and systemic racism for the next 3-5 years.
