‘Nice to meet you!’ is a group exhibition proudly presented by design collective, Table, bringing together emerging designers to reflect on the ‘act of a greeting’. The work will explore how design can welcome and invite people in by creating a sense of belonging, with work spanning from physical objects and digital interactive projects.

As the first act of connection, we greet through exchanges of language, gestures, glances, and tone. We greet through symbols: a card, a gift, a sign at the door. Each greeting, however simple, is a quiet affirmation: I see you, and you are welcome here.

Curated primarily through an open submission call, we are foregrounding new perspectives and aim to highlight the many ways design can extend invitations and build shared experiences.

In addition to the exhibition, there will be a panel talk reflecting on the ideas presented, carrying the spirit of greeting forward into the wider design community.

This event is organized by Table, in collaboration with Gagné Contemporary. We look forward to meeting you!

Table is a collective of 400+ designers, students and friends with roots in industrial design working to better equip, support and represent diverse perspectives in design.

Participants

Table Collective (Simran Dadlani, Clara Wu), Dan Cui, Saif Jaffrey, Sony Chen, more designers to be announced.
