The Tempered Room, an authentic pâtisserie known as Paris in Parkdale, hosts an exhibition of local design. Guest curated by design editor Catherine Osborne, ‘PLATED’ is a one-night-only dinner where every dish, bowl, and drinking vessel will be crafted by Canadian ceramicists, glass blowers, sculptors, and artists. Following the dinner event, all of the dinnerware will be on display at The Tempered Room from January 19 to 26. Chef Greg Laird will also craft a unique, limited-time DesignTO pastry available during the Festival’s run.
Participating studios include Castor Design, Dear Human, FELT Studio (Kathryn Walter), Vanessa Lee Jackson, April Martin, meilen, Talia Silva, Kristian Spreen, Jamie Wolfond, and Patrick Yeung.
