When we refined our mission, vision and purpose earlier last year, we added justice as one of our main pillars. This year many of the exhibits and events featured in the Festival have a social justice focus. An Indigenous woman has never appeared on a Canadian banknote. Working with Indigenous artists, the Native Women’s Association of Canada created ‘Bills of Change’, a collection of bills that bear the faces of history’s most significant Indigenous women.
BIPOC Portfolio Collaboration

To correct the disproportionate representation of BIPOC within the architecture and design professions, students that identify from these groups are invited to a collaborative portfolio review session with leaders in the design community.

‘Design for Change’ is a community design exhibit celebrating the creativity of high school students across the Greater Toronto Area, featuring youth-led design-build prototypes and concept plans for redesigning the St. James Town Co-op Community Garden.
